I loaded my family into our minivan a couple of weeks ago for a long road trip to upstate New York. We made it three hours before it was time for our first lunch stop. Jill was in charge of finding the place so she hit the Yelp application on my phone and saw some good reviews for Lynn's Paradise Cafe so we took a small detour following our GPS.
As soon as you pull up to Lynn's, it is clear that this is not a normal chain restaurant. It is decorated the way your weird, secluded Aunt would decorate her country cottage in Jamaica. The kids absolutely loved this part. There was always something interesting to look at.
I ordered one of the Egg Scramble specials. Something with cheese, peppers, ham all mixed up in the eggs. It came with two biscuits the size of Christmas presents and some fried green tomatoes. The first thing you must understand is that I am a portions man. If you have ever seen me with my shirt off at the beach - you know this already. The food was fantastic and there was so much of it that I couldn't finish one of the biscuits. It was a little expensive, but that is the price I am willing to pay to not eat at another Wendy's for lunch. I can't wait to go back the next time I am in Louisville.
